WP IV: - Automation / industrial assembly- Summary

Task IV.1- Automated and AI-based assembly for industrial applications

• Started in January 2005, running till Decemb 2007 (Deliverable M IV.3)
• Deliverable M IV.1 presents state of the art, review and examples of automated microassembly with artificial intelligence techniques.

Task IV.2- Test and characterization

• Started in January 2005, running till Decemb 2007 (Deliverable M IV.4)
• Deliverable M IV.3 present first results on methods and tools for test and characterization (materials test, test rig prototype, micro-torque measurement system, characterization of soldered joints)
• Work for automated calibration of cantilever / cantilever arrays.
