UNINOVA

UNINOVA is acting mainly in the fields of robotics, electronics, microelectronics, optoelectronics, artificial intelligence, environments, vacuum and production technologies. To perform the R&D work, UNINOVA is organized in centres of excellence, involving more than 150 scientists and technologists. CEMOP is one of the UNINOVA centres, created in 1989, being the main activities related to: development of processes and production techniques related to macro/microelectronics and optoelectronics fields, filling and existing gap in the Portuguese RD&D area. A particular area of expertise of CEMOP deals with the thin films technologies and the development of new type of devices such as optical position sensors.

 

	Tasks of UNINOVA in ASSEMIC:
	Integration of static and dynamic optical sensors in automatic feedback positioning systems
	Handling strategies involving specialized procedures and devices such as dynamic optical sensors
	System integration, image processing techniques, machine tool supervision
	Handling of microcomponents within a fluid
	System performance assessment
