ROBOTIKER

ROBOTIKER is a private non-profit making Foundation located in Zamudio and Madrid (Spain) whose mission is to acquire and develop technologies and then transfer the results to companies as a way of improving their level of competitiveness. Currently twenty-six companies from the main economic sectors of the Basque Country and three government and academic institutions constitute ROBOTIKER. Around 150 highly qualified professionals work in ROBOTIKER, 80% being Industrial, Telecommunications and Software Engineers and Physics. ROBOTIKER has a broad experience in European projects participation. Microtechnology constitute a high-priority line of specialisation for ROBOTIKER. At present we are involved in an European project, ROBOSEM "Smart nanorobot for sensor-based handling in a scanning electron microscope", related to microrobotics (microhandling, microassembly). Covering these topics we are promoting some VI FP proposals complementary with the objectives of this M. C. RTN Network

 

	Tasks of ROBOTIKER in ASSEMIC:
	Design of control procedures, use of neural networks, fuzzy logic
	Human haptic interface, 3D simulation and virtual reality, man-machine interfaces
	Machine vision applied to image calibration, object identification and handling procedures
	e-learning activities
