Nascatec

The Nascatec GmbH was founded in Kassel, Germany, in close collaboration with the "Institute of Mikrostructuretechnologies and Analysis" (IMA). Well known as a center of innovative developments, the IMA completes physics and electronics.
Nascatec already has experience in the fields of micromechanics, MEMS-Technology, Scanning Probes, Lasertechnology, near-field scanning optical microscope and in related disciplines of nanotechnology

We resort to a professional research and development, 600 squaremeters clean room and to a multitude of standard CMOS-Processes and -technologies, innovative coatings and layers.

A main focus of our work, is the individual development of microsystemtechnic- and nanoanalysis-solutions.
Individual prototyping can be carried out in best time, using our special technical equipment.
In collaboration with the European Space Association and the University of Kassel, Nascatec built the first piezoresistive AFM-Probes for the "ROSETTA" Space-Mission. Further the first SNOM Sensors based on a cantilever-technology.

  Tasks of Nascatec in ASSEMIC:

  • Development, prototyping and integration of sensors

  • Design, analysis and prototyping of microgrippers and systems for micromechanical manipulation

  • Characterization of surface topography

  • Modelling, prototyping and characterization of an atomic force sensor

  • Exploitation of the assembly tools developed for their use in different application fields

  • Alternative approaches to circumvallate the need for assembly
